The Helly Hansen 3 Layer Workwear System of Dress is an interactive clothing system for staying dry and warm at work by utilizing the synergy between the body's physiology and modern fiber in a push-pull concept. The 3 Layers are: Base Layer (Kastrup and Roskilde Wool Series), Thermal Layer and Protection Layer. This item is part of the Base Layer.

The Kastrup Base Layer Pants are a lightweight ultra stretch rib knit polypropylene, 130 g.
Works like a second skin, with rapid moisture transportation when working at high energy levels in cool temperatures.

DRY For work in all conditions. Keeps you dry and comfortable.
LIFA DRY is made of 100% polypropylene filament yarns, and does not absorb perspiration.  Moisture is transported to the next layer of clothing.  DRY is recommended for high energy activities at cold and cool temperatures.  During high energey activity, the body produces excess heat.  The fucnctional baselayer concept is all about creating the driest possible microclimate next to the skin during and after high energy activities to avoid the chilling effect when the activity level is reduced and moisture evaporates from the skin.  When perspiration evaporates, the baselayer fabric steals energy or warmth from the body surface, the body is chilled.
