The PARA-RAFT is a
NEW concept in escape system technology for non-ejection seat aircraft, improving egress and providing a safer and easier escape due to its sleek, compact configuration. The single pack configuration of the PARA/RAFT eliminates the inherent danger of a separate parachute and survival pack.

The system utilizes all U.S. Mil-Spec components and accessories and is no larger in size than current U.S. Military back style parachute assemblies.
NSN # 1670-01-395-1995ApplicationThe PARA-RAFT system is designed to replace conventional parachutes in trainers such as the Pilatus PC-6/7, EMB-312 Tucano, T-34 Mentor, and multi-engine applications that include the S-2 Tracker, P-3 Orion, Casa 212, C-130 Hercules and the KC-135.
The total weight of the system is less than current configurations of back parachutes with attached seat style survival packs.
The PARA/RAFT replaces standard back parachutes such as the B-20, BA-18 and BA-22.
