While in flight, the TITAN XF is worn deflated and folded to a compact size to provide maximum comfort and mobility for the wearer. The Helicopter Crew Vest is designed with an open area collar to be placed over the head and onto neck and shoulder area, so that the vest rests on the chest of the wearer.
The vest is secured around the waist to the wearer using a harness strap. The folded shape is neatly maintained by means of hook and loop (Velcro) fasteners that disengage and release upon cell inflation.
It is equipped with equipment pouch which can store day/night flare, signal mirror, sea dye marker, PLBs, flashlights and personal items.
The TITAN XF is designed for easy refold, rearm, and inspection by flight crews without sending the unit to repair stations. The CO2 cylinder and light can be replaced by crew members. Aircraft owners/operators may perform service inspections at their own facility every 90-days.
