PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Description
Life Support International is a renowned manufacturer and distributor of aviation safety, survival & rescue equipment. LSI seeks a Project Engineer to join their team. This position will be responsible for designing and analyzing life support components such as life rafts, parachutes and pressurized gas components. Other responsibilities will include integration of life support components into mechanical/textile systems, develop system specifications and test plans to verify models for component or system characteristics, be responsible for in-house as well as off-site qualification test programs and lead small to medium Integrated Product Teams (IPT).

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (BS and/or MS preferred)
  • 5+ years engineering experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Solid works
  • Experience with problem solving and corrective actions

Desired Skills
LSI expects the Project Engineer to work closely with suppliers on component and sub-system development, interface with customers as part of development-team programs and provide innovative ideas for improvements to existing products. This position will participate in brainstorming sessions for new products/technologies, provide technical expertise to support manufacturing & customers and work with the team to develop bids and proposals for new, modified or upgraded products. Working well independently and with others, working in a timely and accurate manner and traveling occasionally as needed (foreign and domestic). Ideally have experience dealing with DoD in a Project Management role and possess good writing skills.

SALES & MARKETING ASSISTANT

Life Support International is a renowned manufacturer and distributor of aviation safety, survival & rescue equipment. LSI seeks a Sales & Marketing Assistant. This position will be responsible for assisting the development, maintenance and monitoring of all LSI marketing material to ensure all content is kept current. The Sales & Marketing Assistant is perfect for someone who has recently graduated college and is looking to start a career and grow within our company. This person should have an interest in learning small business operations and has the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

This person will be an integral team member who will work closely with other members of Sales & Operations, as well as supports other general office responsibilities as assigned. Their duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Help maintain and organize product data: product line, price lists, website content, product photos, specifications sheets, catalogs, etc.
  • Design and maintain product brochure inventory – both electronic and print
  • Prepare graphics and content as needed
  • Create, proofread and edit documents as needed
  • Support sales team by preparing quotes, presentations and marketing handouts
  • Assist in the preparation of Trade Shows and Events
  • Help maintain office organization

 Educational and Skills requirements:

  • College undergraduate degree (BS or BA) Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Communications or other Business/Graphics Arts related subject
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail for data entry projects
  • Strong communication skills – both phone and email
  • Experience with graphic & web applications
  • Ability to grasp and build on new concepts
